A 1-bit western idler. One lumber camp, a couple of drifters, and a frontier that doesn't care if you starve.

Drag your hands onto the work — every filled slot runs a progress bar and pays out a resource. Wood, food, iron, coal, gold… and a railroad that won't lay itself. But the crew is scarce and the town is always hungry. Every drifter you put on the saw is a drifter not on the farm. That's the whole game: who works, who eats, and who waits.

How it works

  • Take on new hands at the barracks. New drifters are hired at the bunkhouse — and the barracks caps how many bodies the town can hold, so every hire is a choice.
  • Hands get sharper the longer they work. Leave a drifter on the same job and their skill climbs over time — a seasoned worker churns out resources faster than a fresh one. Veterans are worth keeping put.
  • Horses speed up everything. Build the stable and raise a string of horses, and every process in town runs quicker — production, building, the lot. More horses, faster frontier.
  • Keep them fed or watch them walk. Hunger is a real threat but a recoverable one… usually. Starve a worker and they're gone.
  • Drive the golden spike. To get gold you can sell your cattle.
